The WKS EVO 3 kVA inverter is the heart of the system: it converts solar energy into usable electricity (230 V) and intelligently manages the battery and the grid. Thanks to its integrated MPPT controller, it optimises solar panel output and ensures a continuous power supply, even in the event of a power cut.
Lead-acid GEL batteries (gelled electrolyte) are ideal for discharging 50% of their capacity every day, ensuring optimum performance. For example, if your battery has a capacity of 4.8kWh, it is recommended that you consume no more than 2.4kWh per day to comply with the manufacturer's recommendations. You can, however, allow a slight margin, as these batteries can withstand faster discharges over a short period.
Lithium batteries, on the other hand, offer additional advantages: they can be discharged much more quickly than lead-acid batteries, and allow you to use up to 90% of their capacity. So you can count on greater flexibility of use with lithium batteries.
To determine the capacity of your battery, simply multiply the capacity (Ah) of the battery by its voltage (V). For example, 4 batteries of 100Ah of 12V connected in series will give a voltage of 48V and a total capacity of 4.8kWh.

Ultracell 12V 200Ah gel batteries have several advantages over traditional lead-acid batteries.They are more watertight, which reduces the risk of acid leaks.
