The ZJBENY DC single input surge protector is an essential protection solution for single string photovoltaic installations. Designed for systems up to 1000V DC, it effectively protects your solar panels, cables and inverters against surges, atmospheric discharges and transient voltage peaks.
Reliable and secure design
This model has an input from the solar panels and an output to the MPPT inverter, providing complete protection for the photovoltaic chain.
The contact-protected fuse holder prevents any electrical risk to the installer. It is fitted with 15A fuses for the positive and negative poles, guaranteeing maximum safety.
The built-in type 2 SPD surge protector (model BUD-40/3) protects against overvoltages up to 40 kA in compliance with EN 50539. An LED indicator provides a visual check on the status of the device.
Switch-disconnector and certified components
The enclosure incorporates a DC 1000V 32A switch-disconnector (model BYT.2-32/BYS), compliant with IEC 60947-3, guaranteeing total isolation between panels and inverter.
Each ZJBENY enclosure is individually tested before delivery, to TUV, CE, UL, KEMA and SAA standards, ensuring reliability and durability.
Robust, watertight enclosure
The enclosure is housed in a BX-13 enclosure made of high-resistance polycarbonate/ABS. It offers IP65 protection against dust and humidity, as well as IK10 mechanical resistance.
Compact and lightweight (292 x 220 x 120 mm), it is easy to install as a wall-mounted unit, with suitable cable glands for cables from 2.5 to 16 mm².
Practical use
The ZJBENY DC 1000V 32A surge protector is ideal for protecting a 3 to 6 kWp residential solar installation with a single string of panels connected to an MPPT inverter.
For example, in a home with 10 solar panels of 400 W (i.e. 4 kWp), the box secures the link between the panels and the inverter against surges due to lightning or mains variations.
Its compact design and simple installation make it ideal for self-consumption systems and grid-connected installations.
