The Deye SUN-80K-SG02HP3-EU-EM6 is the benchmark three-phase hybrid inverter for high-power commercial solar projects. With its 6 independent MPPT trackers, dual high-voltage battery input (160–1000 Vdc ) and UPS switchover in under 4 ms, it seamlessly coordinates solar generation, storage and the grid at demanding industrial, commercial, agricultural or community sites. Its ability to be paralleled with up to 10 units to reach 800 kW makes it a scalable solution with no limit on installed power.
The inverter incorporates 6 independent MPPT trackers, each accepting 2 strings and an input current of 36A, giving a maximum short-circuit current of 54A per tracker. The MPPT voltage range extends from 150 to 850 Vdc, with a maximum PV voltage of 1,000 Vdc and a nominal PV input voltage of 650 Vdc. The maximum accepted PV power is 128,000 Wp. This high number of independent MPPT trackers is particularly well-suited to multi-pitch roofs, multiple orientations (East/West/South) or installations combining arrays of panels with different tilt angles, preventing any interference between strings. MPPT efficiency exceeds 99%, ensuring near-perfect extraction of available energy.
The SG02HP3-EU-EM6 features two independent battery inputs, each supporting up to 80A on charge and 80A on discharge, totalling 160A. The battery voltage range of 160 to 1,000 Vdc — the widest in the Deye range — ensures maximum compatibility with high-voltage lithium-ion batteries on the market. BMS communication is self-adaptive via CAN or RS-485, without the need for complex manual configuration. The dual input allows two separate battery banks to be connected, providing either storage redundancy or increased energy capacity without additional equipment. The maximum discharge current also reaches 80 + 80 A, enabling stored energy to be delivered rapidly during peak consumption periods.
In the event of a mains failure, the Deye 80 kW switches to stand-alone mode in less than 4 ms, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to sensitive loads without any perceptible interruption. This ultra-short switchover time makes it suitable for powering servers, industrial PLCs, control systems, medical equipment or any load for which even a micro-outage would be problematic. This performance is comparable to that of dedicated industrial UPS units, with the added advantage of integrated management of solar generation and storage.
The SG02HP3-EU-EM6 supports a phase imbalance of 100%, meaning that a single phase can be loaded at full power whilst the other two are at zero, without the inverter derating or triggering a protection. This high tolerance is essential in industrial and commercial environments where heavy single-phase loads (ovens, single-phase compressors, lighting, IT equipment) are unevenly distributed across the three phases of the three-phase grid.
The inverter supports all operating modes of a professional hybrid system:
Programming of 6 charging/discharging time slots allows the inverter’s behaviour to be precisely adapted to off-peak/peak tariffs, grid operator constraints or non-feed-in obligations during certain periods.
The Deye SG02HP3-EU-EM6 features an integrated energy management system (EMS) that automatically controls the flow between sources (PV, battery, grid, generator) according to parameters set by the installer. The six programmable time slots allow you to define when the battery charges from the grid (typically at night during off-peak hours), when it discharges to the loads (peak hours), and to what depth of discharge. This fine-grained management is particularly cost-effective in contexts involving dynamic pricing, load shedding contracts, or sites subject to contracted power limits. The lithium-ion battery charging strategy automatically adapts to the connected BMS, without manual intervention.
The Deye 80 kW can be combined with 9 other identical units to achieve a total power of 800 kW in a parallel configuration. This modularity, which requires no specific coupling equipment, allows the installation to be sized according to current needs and then gradually expanded without altering the architecture of the existing system. Communication between inverters is via RS-485. This parallel connection capability makes the SG02HP3 a suitable solution for large-scale projects: large commercial buildings, industrial estates, microgrids, fast-charging stations for electric vehicles, or intensive agricultural installations.
With 80 kW of power distributed across 3 phases and a nominal output current of 108.7A per phase, the SG02HP3-EU-EM6 is designed to power heavy three-phase loads: industrial compressors, production lines, centralised air conditioning, high-power pumps, industrial lighting. The 100% unbalance tolerance and UPS switching in under 4 ms ensure uninterrupted power supply even in the event of a mains failure, at sites where a production stoppage would result in significant financial losses.
Office buildings, shopping centres, hotels, healthcare facilities: the SG02HP3-EU-EM6 meets the energy needs of sites with high distributed consumption. Parallel operation of up to 10 units enables the power output required for very large buildings to be achieved, whilst time-of-use management optimises self-consumption and reduces energy bills by avoiding peak grid draw-down during high-tariff hours.
Heated greenhouses, irrigation systems, cold stores, dryers, livestock ventilation: modern farms consume considerable amounts of energy, often in sporadic and irregular bursts. The Deye 80 kW absorbs these consumption peaks from the PV system and batteries, whilst enabling full off-grid power supply at remote sites. Its IP65-rated robustness and extended temperature range (-40°C to +60°C) ensure reliable operation in exposed agricultural environments.
In off-grid mode, the SG02HP3-EU-EM6 powers an entire site from PV and batteries, with the generator providing automatic backup. Parallel operation of up to 10 units allows for the creation of a high-power autonomous microgrid for villages, remote industrial areas or mining sites. Integrated multi-source management optimises generator usage by activating it only when PV and batteries are insufficient, thereby reducing fuel consumption.
AC-coupling mode allows the Deye SG02HP3 to be connected downstream of existing grid-connected inverters to add battery storage capacity, without dismantling or replacing the original solar inverters. This approach is particularly cost-effective for industrial sites already equipped with a high-power grid-connected PV system that wish to add self-consumption with storage without completely rewiring the DC system.
Monitoring is carried out via the Deye web portal and mobile app, with connection options including Wi-Fi, 4G, LAN, Bluetooth or GPRS depending on the chosen configuration. The platform enables immediate remote shutdown in the event of an incident, remote firmware updates and adjustment of all parameters without the need for physical on-site intervention. This centralised monitoring is particularly valuable for installers managing a multi-site portfolio, for operators of remote microgrids, or for energy managers seeking real-time monitoring of production and consumption. The Deye platform is also compatible with the Deye Copilot module, the first AI-powered EMS dedicated to Deye inverters, enabling automatic optimisation of charging/discharging strategies based on weather forecasts and dynamic tariffs.
With its IP65 protection rating, the SG02HP3-EU-EM6 can be installed outdoors or in premises exposed to humidity and dust. It operates from -40°C to +60°C with automatic derating above 45°C, up to an altitude of 2,000 m. The noise level is 65 dB or less. Cooling is provided by an intelligent air-cooling system that manages heat flow according to the load. Total harmonic distortion in current (THDi) is less than 3% of the rated power, ensuring a waveform quality that meets the requirements of sensitive sites. The DC injection current is less than 0.5%. The built-in protections cover DC and AC overvoltage (TYPE II), short circuit, reverse polarity, overload and anti-islanding. The inverter is certified to the main European and international standards: EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4105, G99, IEC 62116, IEC 61727, IEC 0-21, NRS 097, RD 140, UNE 217002, OVE Guideline R25, as well as the EMC standards IEC/EN 61000-6-1/2/3/4, IEC/EN 62109-1 and IEC/EN 62109-2.
