XVB 3G1.5 mm - 1m electric cable
You are about to create a quotation for the kit XVB 3G1.5 mm² Rigid Single-phase 0.6/1kV cable - Lightweight fixed installation.
This action will open the quotation app in a new tab.
XVB 3G1.5 mm² is a PVC-insulated, multi-conductor rigid electrical cable specially designed for low-voltage, single-phase, light fixed electrical installations. Its economical construction with 3 solid copper conductors (phase + neutral + earth) with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² makes it the cable of choice for lighting circuits, 10/16A sockets and small residential electrical equipment.
Compliant with the Belgian RGIE (Règlement Général sur les Installations Électriques) and European standards HD 604 and EN 50575, this cable guarantees safety, reliability and economy for your light electrical circuits.
The XVB 3G1.5 mm² cable is perfectly suited to single-phase light electrical circuits:
⚠️ Important: XVB 3G1.5 mm² cable is designed for light electrical circuits (lighting, 10/16A sockets). For specialised circuits with high power consumption (washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, hobs), use a minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm².
Cost-effective solution for light circuits: The XVB 3G1.5 mm² cable offers the best value for money for low-consumption electrical circuits. Its 1.5 mm² cross-section is perfectly sized for lighting and 10/16 A sockets, offering substantial savings compared with oversized cross-sections.
Easy to install: With its compact 7-8 mm diameter and light weight (0.04 kg/m), this cable is particularly easy to handle during installation. It slips easily into small-diameter sheaths (ICTA Ø16mm), narrow cut-outs and false ceilings, reducing installation time and cost.
Versatile use: Although mainly intended for light circuits, XVB 3G1.5 mm² cable can carry up to 19.5A when laid underground, offering a comfortable safety margin for most common residential applications.
Reliable rigid construction: Rigid Class 1 solid copper conductors guarantee excellent mechanical strength for permanent fixed installations. The cable retains its shape after installation, preventing sagging in cable trays or horizontal ducts.
💡 Expert advice: XVB 3G1.5 mm² cable is protected by a 10A (recommended for lighting) or 16A maximum (for sockets) circuit breaker. Never use a circuit breaker of 20A or more with this cross-section, as the cable would not be properly protected against overloads.
The RGIE (Belgian General Regulations on Electrical Installations) imposes strict rules on cable sizing according to use:
