The SRNE SHINER2430-B solar controller is a reliable and efficient MPPT controller designed to optimise battery charging in off-grid photovoltaic systems. With an MPPT tracking efficiency of over 99.9%, it maximises energy production by constantly adjusting the maximum power point. Compatible with 12V and 24V battery voltages, it supports up to 2 solar panels in series or several in parallel, offering installation flexibility. Its compact design and passive cooling ensure simple, silent installation, ideal for residential or leisure applications.
Lead-acid GEL batteries are ideal for discharging 50% of their capacity every day, ensuring optimum performance. For example, if your battery has a capacity of 4.8kWh, it is recommended that you use no more than 2.4kWh per day to comply with the manufacturer's recommendations. You can, however, allow a slight margin, as these batteries can withstand faster discharges over a short period.
Lithium batteries, on the other hand, offer additional advantages: they can be discharged much more quickly than lead-acid batteries, and allow you to use up to 90% of their capacity. So you can count on greater flexibility of use with lithium batteries.
To determine the capacity of your battery, simply multiply the capacity (Ah) of the battery by its voltage (V). For example, 4 batteries of 100Ah of 12V connected in series will give a voltage of 48V and a total capacity of 4.8kWh.
