Pylontech Fidus Lithium Battery – Low-voltage residential energy storage system

The Pylontech Fidus battery is Pylontech’s first 48V battery designed for outdoor installation. With its IP65 protection rating, 5.12 kWh capacity and the ability to connect up to 20 modules in parallel, it combines robustness with scalability.

The Fidus FB-L-5.12 is a 5.12 kWh, 51.2V LiFePO4 storage module, designed for residential and commercial self-consumption installations. Its key difference compared to the US rack range, such as the US5000 and US3000C, lies in its IP65-rated enclosure, which allows for outdoor wall mounting without the need for a cabinet or dedicated technical room.

A battery designed for wall mounting, indoors or outdoors

Whereas a 19-inch rack battery requires a dry room and a dedicated cabinet, the Fidus battery mounts directly onto the wall. Its IP65 rating protects it against dust and water splashes, whilst its C5-M class anti-corrosion treatment makes it perfectly suited to damp or coastal environments. Unheated garages, utility rooms, garden sheds or sheltered facades: the possible locations are endless.

5.12 kWh per module, expandable up to 20 modules

Each module delivers 5.12 kWh gross, or 4.86 kWh net at a 95% depth of discharge. The modular design allows up to 20 modules to be stacked in a single group: you start small and expand the battery bank as needs arise, without replacing the existing system.

Fidus or US5000: which is right for you?

The US5000 remains the benchmark in the 19-inch rack format for installations in plant rooms. The Fidus battery is better suited to those without such dedicated space: higher capacity per module (5.12 kWh versus 4.8 kWh), an IP65-rated enclosure suitable for outdoor installation, wall mounting and the option to expand up to 20 modules.

For a project integrated into an existing cabinet, the US5000 remains the right choice; for wall-mounted or outdoor installation, the Fidus is the ideal solution. Pylontech US5000

Indoor or outdoor installation (IP65)

Thanks to its IP65 rating, the battery is protected against dust and moisture. It can be installed:

• indoors (utility room, garage),

• or outdoors under cover.

Its compact size and robust design make it easy to integrate into any type of photovoltaic project.

Compatibility with hybrid inverters and connection

The Fidus battery communicates via CAN and RS485 with the main hybrid inverters on the market. In particular, it integrates with the Deye and WKS inverters offered by Wattuneed. Connection is made via the dedicated communication cable and 25 mm² power cables. For installations with multiple modules, a DC protection box and a set of distribution busbars ensure safe parallel connection.

Safety and service life

LiFePO4 chemistry ensures high thermal stability and a minimal risk of runaway. Its integrated BMS continuously monitors the voltage, current and temperature of each cell to optimise the system’s service life.

The module is certified to IEC62619, IEC63056, VDE2510-50, UN38.3, RoHS and WEEE, and comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

An amount of €130.05 excluding VATmust be added for each battery purchased, as a direct contribution to Bebat, the organisation responsible for the management of batteries and accumulators in Belgium. This measure is in accordance with current Belgian environmental legislation.

Important:When purchasing a lithium battery, please add the corresponding product "Bebat Pylontech Fidus Environmental Levy" according to the number of batteries you are ordering. Otherwise, we will recalculate and invoice the amount after the purchase.
