Deye SUN-6K-SG04LP3-EU: the low-voltage three-phase hybrid inverter for homes and small businesses

The Deye SUN-6K-SG04LP3-EU is a 6 kW three-phase hybrid inverter with a 48 V low-voltage battery, designed for photovoltaic installations connected to the 400 V three-phase grid with storage. Thanks to its compact design and high power density, it is ideal for households with medium to high energy consumption, small businesses and agricultural projects seeking to maximise self-consumption, finely control their storage and safeguard their essential loads.

Performance and efficiency

With a maximum efficiency of 97.6% (Euro 97.0%) and MPPT tracking efficiency of ≥ 99.9%, the SUN-6K-SG04LP3-EU makes the most of every watt produced by your solar panels. Its DC/AC ratio of 1.3 allows you to connect up to 10,400 Wp of panels for a nominal AC power of 6,000 W — an approach that optimises production during periods of low sunlight without oversizing the inverter.

48V battery storage: flexibility and extended compatibility

The SUN-6K-SG04LP3-EU operates with 40–60 V low-voltage batteries, lithium-ion or lead-acid, with automatic BMS management via CAN, RS485 or RS232. Its charge/discharge current of up to 240 A allows for rapid recharging of large capacities or supporting high consumption peaks without stressing the battery.

100% unbalanced output per phase

One of the SUN-6K-SG04LP3-EU’s most distinctive features is its ability to deliver a 100% unbalanced three-phase output, with up to 50% of the rated power (3 kW) on each phase independently. This means that even if your loads are concentrated on one or two phases, the inverter continues to power your entire system correctly without any loss of efficiency.

Main Screen

The LCD screen is touch-sensitive and displays general information about the inverter.

1 • The icon in the centre of the home screen indicates that the system is operating normally. If it displays "comm./F01~F64", this means the inverter has communication errors or other faults. The error message will appear below this icon (errors F01-F64; details of the errors can be viewed in the System Alarms menu).

2 • The time is displayed at the top of the screen.

3 • System configuration icon. Press this button to access the system configuration screen, which includes basic configuration, battery configuration, grid configuration, system operating mode, generator port usage, advanced functions and Li-Ion battery information.

4 • The main screen displays information regarding solar, grid, load and battery. It also indicates the direction of energy flow using arrows. When power approaches a high level, the colour of the panels changes from green to red, allowing system information to be clearly viewed on the main screen.

- PV power and charging power always remain positive.

- A negative grid power reading indicates power being sold to the grid; a positive reading indicates power being drawn from the grid.

- A negative battery power reading indicates charging; a positive reading indicates discharging.

Remote shutdown function
