The Victron SmartShunt 500A is a high-precision, all-in-one battery monitor without a display that uses your smartphone as its interface. With built-in Bluetooth connectivity and the VictronConnect app, you can monitor the state of charge, remaining range and historical consumption of your battery bank in real time, providing a powerful and discreet monitoring solution for solar systems.
This device is a compact alternative to the popular BMV-712. It integrates seamlessly into the Victron Energy ecosystem by connecting via a VE.Direct cable to monitoring devices such as the Cerbo GX orEkrano GX. The SmartShunt allows you to centralise data from your lithium, AGM or gel batteries and synchronise this information with the VRM Cloud portal for complete remote monitoring.
The SmartShunt 500A offers cutting-edge features:

The smart battery shunt
The SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery controller, but without a screen. Your phone serves as the screen. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on your phone (or tablet), and you can easily read all the battery parameters being monitored, such as state of charge, remaining autonomy, history information and much more.
Alternatively, the Smartshunt can also be connected to and read by a GX device. The SmartShunt can be connected using a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt represents a good alternative to the BMV battery controller, particularly for systems where you want to supervise a battery, but with fewer cables and less clutter.
The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used to monitor a second battery, a midpoint or a temperature sensor.
