The Deye SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 is a 30 kW three-phase hybrid inverter that stands out for its exceptional power density: just 46 kg for 30 kW of rated power, making it one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class. It features 3 independent MPPT trackers, a high-voltage battery input (160–700 Vdc), UPS switching in under 4 ms and Deye Co-pilot technology — the first artificial intelligence-based energy management system (EMS) designed specifically for Deye inverters. Its IP65-rated robustness, tolerance to altitudes of up to 3,000 m and particularly low noise level (≤ 55 dB) make it a suitable solution for sensitive environments and high-altitude sites.






3 independent MPPT trackers for multi-oriented rooftops

The SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 features 3 independent MPPT trackers, each supporting 2 strings and an input current of 36A per MPPT (maximum short-circuit current 54A per tracker). The MPPT voltage range of 150 to 850 Vdc covers all modern string configurations, with a maximum PV voltage of 1,000 Vdc and a nominal input voltage of 600 Vdc. The maximum accepted PV power is 48,000 Wp. The 3 independent MPPT trackers optimise output on multi-oriented roofs (East/West/South) without interference between strings, as each tracker independently manages the maximum power point of its string. MPPT efficiency exceeds 99%.






High-voltage battery 160–700 Vdc: AM3 specific range

Unlike the SG01HP3 (160–800 V) and SG02HP3 80 kW (160–1000 V) models, the SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 is optimised for a battery voltage range of 160 to 700 Vdc. The maximum charge and discharge current is 75A, with auto-adaptation to the BMS via CAN or RS-485. The compatible reference high-voltage battery is the Deye BOS-G40 Pro (40.96 kWh), designed specifically to work with this inverter. The charging strategy automatically adapts to the parameters communicated by the connected battery’s BMS, without the need for manual configuration.






UPS switchover in under 4 ms — protection for sensitive loads

In the event of a mains power failure, the SUN-30K-SG02HP3 switches to stand-alone mode in under 4 ms, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to sensitive loads without any perceptible interruption. This switchover time qualifies the inverter for powering servers, payment terminals, industrial PLCs, control systems or any critical equipment. 100% phase imbalance tolerance ensures that each phase receives the exact power required by the loads, independently of the other two phases — an essential advantage in commercial and industrial buildings where loads are rarely distributed evenly.






Deye Co-pilot: the AI-powered EMS

The Deye Co-pilot is the first artificial intelligence-based energy management system (EMS) designed specifically for Deye inverters. Natively integrated into the SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3, it transforms the inverter into a self-learning energy ecosystem:

  • Predictive flow optimisation: Co-pilot analyses production data from the 3 MPPT trackers, the building’s consumption patterns and weather forecasts in real time to instantly balance self-consumption, storage and grid injection, maximising the installation’s return on investment.
  • Dynamic management of the 6 time slots: the system automatically adjusts the 6 programmable charging and discharging periods to take advantage of the lowest grid tariffs (off-peak hours) and feed energy back into the grid during the most expensive hours, without manual intervention.
  • Intelligent HV battery protection: by communicating directly with the BMS via auto-adaptation, Co-pilot regulates the charge/discharge current (up to 75A) to prevent overheating and ensure the optimal lifespan of the connected high-voltage batteries.
  • Synergy with the generator: Co-pilot only activates the generator when strictly necessary (insufficient battery charge, insufficient PV output), optimising fuel consumption and reducing generator running hours.
  • Real-time phase balancing: Co-pilot manages the 100% unbalanced output to ensure that each phase receives the exact power required by the loads, without wasting energy.

Deye Co-pilot is configured and controlled via the Deye monitoring platform, with no additional hardware required on-site.






Multiple operating modes

The SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 supports all operating modes of a professional hybrid system:

  • On-grid: feed-in and/or self-consumption with the three-phase public grid
  • Off-grid: fully autonomous power supply without the grid, from PV and batteries
  • Hybrid: intelligent combination of grid, PV and battery with priority management via Co-pilot
  • AC-coupling: adding battery storage to an existing grid-connected system without replacing the existing solar inverter
  • Generator: dedicated input with automatic start/stop managed by Co-pilot

Programming six charging/discharging time slots allows the inverter’s behaviour to be adapted to off-peak/peak tariffs, grid operator constraints or non-injection requirements during certain periods.






Generator compatibility and multi-source management

The SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 features a dedicated generator input, with automatic start-up and shutdown management based on configurable thresholds. Co-pilot determines when the generator should be activated by analysing the battery charge level, predicted PV output and site consumption, thereby minimising generator running hours and consequently fuel consumption. In off-grid mode, the generator can directly power heavy loads to supplement PV and battery output during consumption peaks.






Parallel connection of up to 10 units — up to 300 kW

The SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3 can be combined with 9 other identical units to achieve a total power output of 300 kW in parallel configuration, in both on-grid and off-grid modes. This modularity allows you to start with a single unit and gradually expand capacity without altering the existing architecture. Communication between inverters is via RS-485.
