The Fronius Ohmpilot is a consumption controller that uses excess photovoltaic energy to produce hot water. Thanks to continuous control from 0 to 9 kW, excess photovoltaic energy can be used efficiently and redistributed to household consumers.
The Fronius Ohmpilot was originally designed to intelligently control immersion heaters for hot water production in water heaters and storage tanks, but it can also be used for infrared heating or towel dryers.
In a single-family home with average hot water consumption, the household's main hot water needs can be covered by solar energy from April to October. The result: maximum self-consumption, reduced household CO2 emissions and conservation of the heating system during the summer months.
The Fronius Ohmpilot is compatible with all Fronius inverters. A Fronius Datamanager 2.0 and a Fronius Smart Meter are required to use the device. The Fronius Datamanager is integrated as standard in Fronius Symo, Fronius Primo, Fronius Galvo and Fronius Eco inverters.
