The Sofar Solar HYD20KTL-3PH is the most powerful model in the HYD-KTL-3PH series, with a rated AC power of 20,000 W (22,000 VA max). Designed without a transformer for maximum efficiency, it is aimed at large homes with a high prosumer ratio, SMEs, farms and light industrial sites wishing to combine solar generation, high-voltage storage and three-phase power continuity in all circumstances.






20 kW three-phase: top-tier performance and efficiency

Sharing the same hardware platform as the HYD15KTL-3PH, the HYD20KTL-3PH delivers an additional 5 kW (20,000 W nominal AC versus 15,000 W) in an identical 37 kg enclosure. Maximum efficiency remains at 98.2% (Euro 97.7%), making it one of the most efficient three-phase hybrid inverters on the market in this power range.

The fully charged battery voltage range of the HYD20KTL-3PH is 400 to 800 V — a feature that sets it apart from the HYD15KTL-3PH (300–800 V) and makes it particularly suitable for the Sofar BTS 5K high-voltage battery (400 V – 5.12 kWh). This battery can be stacked in 5.12 kWh modules up to 40.96 kWh (8 modules + 2 BDU), making it ideal for installations with high storage demand.

The two independent battery ports allow capacity to be distributed across two separate banks or the nominal charge/discharge power to be increased up to 20,000 W (10,000 W per port). The BMS is managed automatically via CAN or RS485.






Integrated three-phase EPS backup – switchover <10 ms

In the event of a mains failure, the HYD20KTL-3PH switches to EPS (Emergency Power Supply) mode in less than 10 ms. The unbalanced three-phase EPS output delivers up to 22,000 VA peak for 60 seconds — sufficient to handle the inrush currents of the most demanding three-phase loads (heat pumps, compressors, industrial motors).
