The Easee Key is the essential companion for users wishing to restrict or control access to their charging point. Whether in a block of flats, a shared car park or to secure your outdoor installation, this smart key fob offers a fast and reliable authentication solution

Each Easee Key has a unique code (key number) linked to your Easee profile, located directly on the back of the tag.

Key features:

• Instant authentication: A simple tap against the charging station is all it takes to start the session, without having to take out your phone.
• Total security: Prevents unauthorised use of your charging point by third parties. Essential if your system is configured with restricted access.
• Open RFID technology: The Easee charging robot is compatible with a wide variety of RFID cards and tags (credit cards, workplace access badges, etc.).
• Centralised management: Manage your keys and track your usage history via the Easee Charge portal or the mobile app.

Do I need it? 

You only needthe Easee Key if your charging system is set up to require authorisation. In this case, simply hold the key fob against the charger to unlock charging. It’s the ideal solution if you don’t want to rely on your smartphone’s battery.

Installation and RFID compatibility

• Registration: Add your key to your profile by entering its unique number in the Easee app.
• Other keys: If you wish to use another RFID card (such as your office ID badge) and it does not have a visible number, you can add it directly by scanning it on your terminal during setup via the app.

Using the Easee Key allows for precise user identification, which is particularly useful for billing or allocating energy costs in shared environments.
