The solar inverter is the central component of a photovoltaic system: it converts the direct current (DC) produced by the panels into alternating current (AC) that can be used at 230V (and, depending on the installation, fed into the grid). 1. What is a solar inverter used for? +
It converts the direct current (DC) produced by solar panels into usable alternating current (AC) at 230V, and depending on the system, it can be fed into the grid.
2. What’s the difference between a grid-tie inverter and a hybrid inverter? +
A grid-tie inverter is designed for injection/self-consumption without a battery. A hybrid inverter also manages a battery to store energy.
3. Why choose microinverters? +
They optimize production panel by panel: useful in case of partial shading, different orientations, and for individual monitoring.
4. What is a 230V (DC/AC) converter used for? +
