The 80x50 mm aluminium rail is a structural profile designed to provide reliable and durable support for photovoltaic installations, particularly in ground-mounted configurations or on technical structures requiring high rigidity with a compact footprint.

To select the length, simply choose the desired quantity: 1 unit corresponds to a 1.19 m rail and 2 units correspond to a 2.38 m rail. Each quantity ordered corresponds to a rail delivered in a single piece, cut to your specified length. Please note that the maximum length for transport is 2.40 m.

Important information about aluminium

Due to transport and logistics constraints, the maximum length of each segment shipped cannot exceed 2.40 m.
3. I’ve noticed white marks on the surface of the rail; is this normal? +
Yes, absolutely. This is a natural chemical process specific to aluminium: when exposed to air, the material spontaneously forms a thin layer of oxide known as alumina. These slight surface marks act as a shield that enhances the rail’s resistance to corrosion when used outdoors. This in no way affects the product’s structural strength or mechanical quality.
4. What are the advantages of aluminium over galvanised steel profiles? +
Aluminium offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Although it is lighter to handle and install on site than steel, its 80x50 mm cross-section ensures the rigidity required to support heavy loads of solar panels. Furthermore, unlike steel, which can rust at cut edges, aluminium is naturally resistant to rust, ensuring a lifespan of several decades when used outdoors.
