The Chint DDSU666 single-phase smart energy meter (direct measurement version) is designed to act as an ultra-precise bidirectional metering unit within residential solar installations. It is connected directly in series with the electrical circuit to monitor power flows between the public grid and the home in real time, thereby enabling the inverter to intelligently regulate battery charging and optimise the household’s overall energy self-consumption.

  • Measurement and Monitoring: This smart meter offers direct in-line measurement up to 80A (without any external current clamps), RS485 communication via the Modbus-RTU protocol and a backlit LCD display for accurate monitoring of active power.
  • This product is an accessory compatible with Sofar Solar inverters in the ESI range (models ESI 3K-S1, ESI 3.6K-S1, ESI 4K-S1, ESI 4.6K-S1, ESI 5K-S1, ESI 6K-S1) as well as all Deye single-phase hybrid inverters, specifically including the SUN-3.6K-SG03/05LP1, SUN-5K-SG03/05LP1, SUN-6K-SG03/05LP1, SUN-7.6K-SG05LP1 and SUN-8K-SG01LP1.
  • It allows you to configure the zero export function for full compliance with the electricity grid, whilst offering granular monitoring capabilities to maximise the performance of your photovoltaic installation.

The Chint DDSU666 Single-Phase Smart Meter is a high-precision smart energy meter designed for dynamic management of photovoltaic installations. Wide compatibility: Deye & Sofar Solar

The Chint DDSU666 meter is a benchmark accessory for monitoring and managing zero injection. It is natively compatible with:

  • Deye single-phase hybrid inverters: SUN-3.6K / 5K / 6K / 7.6K / 8K series (SG01 / SG03 / SG05LP1).
  • Sofar Solar ESI inverters: ESI 3K-S1 to 6K-S1 models, with full integration with the SolarMan Smart application.

Technical note: Communication via Modbus-RTU on RS485 connection, enabling instantaneous regulation of battery charge and precise management of grid injection.
