The ZJBENY DC dual 2-in/1-out surge protector is designed for two-string photovoltaic installations, offering complete protection against surges and transient voltage peaks up to 1000V DC. It provides effective protection for solar panels, cables and inverters, ensuring the safety, reliability and long-lasting performance of your PV system.
This box has 2 inputs from the panels and 1 output to the MPPT inverter, providing complete protection for the photovoltaic chain. It incorporates a secure DC fuse holder with 15A fuses for the positive and negative poles and a type 2 SPD surge protector (BUD-40/3) capable of protecting your equipment against surges of up to 40 kA.Each component has been selected to guarantee maximum protection and long-lasting reliability.
The enclosure incorporates a DC-PV2 1000V 32A switch-disconnector, compliant with IEC 60947-3, providing complete isolation between the panels and the inverter. Each enclosure is individually tested before shipment and is TUV, CE, UL, KEMA and SAA certified, guaranteeing long-term safety and reliability.
The BX-26 enclosure, made of polycarbonate/ABS, offers IP65 protection and IK10 mechanical resistance.Compact (292 x 370 x 132 mm) and easy to install wall-mounted, it is fitted with PG09 and PG21 cable glands for cables from 2.5 to 16 mm², ensuring safe and clean installation.
The ZJBENY DC 2-in/1-out box is ideal for protecting a residential or commercial photovoltaic installation consisting of 2 strings of panels connected to an MPPT inverter.Example: a house equipped with 2 strings of 8 panels of 400 W each (i.e. 6.4 kWp); the box secures the link between the two strings and the inverter, limiting the risks associated with surges due to lightning or grid fluctuations. It is perfectly suited to self-consumption installations and grid-connected systems.
1. What is the purpose of this box?It protects 2 strings of solar panels to 1 output, securing the inverter and cabling against overvoltage and overcurrent.
2. What is the difference with the 2-output model? The 2-output model protects 2 strings to 2 outputs; the 2-input/1-output model centralises the 2 inputs on a single output.
3. Which components provide protection?DC-PV2 1000V 32A switch-disconnector, type 2 SPD lightning arrester, DC 15A fuse holder.
4. Where should the enclosure be installed?Between the strings and the inverter, ideally close to the inverter for optimum protection.
5. How do I check the surge protector? We recommend that you periodically check the condition of the arrester and replace it if necessary.
