The ZJBENY DC double surge protector is designed for two-string photovoltaic installations, offering complete protection against surges and transient voltage peaks up to 1000V DC. It provides effective protection for solar panels, cables and inverters to ensure safety, reliability and performance.
This model has 2 inputs from the panels and 2 outputs to the MPPT inverter, providing complete protection for the photovoltaic chain. The cabinet incorporates a secure fuse holder (15A fuses for the positive and negative poles) and a type 2 SPD surge protector (BUD-40/3 model) to protect your equipment against surges of up to 40 kA.An LED indicator provides a visual check on the status of the device and facilitates maintenance.
The enclosure incorporates a DC 1000V 32A switch-disconnector (BYT.2-32/BYS), compliant with IEC 60947-3, guaranteeing total insulation between the panels and the inverter. Each enclosure is individually tested before delivery and is TUV, CE, UL, KEMA and SAA certified, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
The enclosure is made of polycarbonate/ABS, BX-13 enclosure, offering IP65 protection and IK10 mechanical resistance.
Compact (292 x 220 x 120 mm) and easy to wall-mount, it features PG09 and PG21 cable glands for cables from 2.5 to 16 mm².
The ZJBENY DC 1000V 32A double box is ideal for protecting a residential or commercial photovoltaic installation consisting of 2 strings of panels connected to an MPPT inverter.Example: a house equipped with 2 strings of 8 panels of 400 W each (i.e. 6.4 kWp); the box secures the link between the two strings and the inverter, limiting the risks associated with surges due to lightning or grid fluctuations. It is perfectly suited to self-consumption installations and grid-connected systems.
1. What is the purpose of this double DC surge protector? It protects two strings of solar panels against overvoltages and electrical discharges, ensuring the safety of the inverter and cables.
2. What is the difference between the single and double models? The dual model has 2 inputs and 2 outputs, enabling 2 strings of panels to be protected simultaneously.
3. Is it compatible with all MPPT inverters?Yes, the ZJBENY double box is compatible with all DC 1000V MPPT inverters, regardless of brand.
4. Where should the box be installed? It is placed between the strings of panels and the inverter, ideally close to the inverter for optimum protection.
