The Eastron SDM630 Modbus energy meter is a professional multifunctional device for bidirectional measurement in photovoltaic installations with storage. Compatible with Solax SK-SU, X3-Hybrid and X3-Fit inverters, this DIN rail meter measures voltage, current, power and active/reactive energy on single-phase (1P2W) and three-phase (3P3W/3P4W) networks.



Direct connection up to 100A: Save costs and complexity with direct measurement without external current transformers (CTs). RS485 Modbus RTU interface for communication with inverters and supervision systems.



Advanced measurements: kWh, kVArh, kW, kVar, kVA, power factor, frequency, THD (harmonic distortion), voltage per phase, current per phase, programmable maximum demand up to 60 minutes. Accuracy better than class 1/B according to EN 62053-21.



Photovoltaic applications: self-consumption optimisation, dynamic load management, production/network injection monitoring, battery energy flow control. Two pulse outputs for external metering.

Bidirectional measurement - Heart of the solar system

The bi-directional IMP/EXP (Import/Export) function is essential for photovoltaic installations with storage:
