The Sofar Solar HYD 6KTL-3PH is a 6 kW 400 V three-phase hybrid inverter from the HYD range, compatible with a very wide range of batteries: from 48 V Pylontech batteries right up to 800 V high-voltage batteries. Its EPS peak power of 12,000 VA for 60 seconds (twice the rated power) makes it a particularly robust backup solution. It can be paralleled with up to 10 units for large installations.

The Sofar Solar HYD 6KTL-3PH is a 6 kW three-phase hybrid inverter from the HYD range, designed for homes and small businesses connected to a 400V three-phase supply seeking a robust and scalable solution. It stands out from the ESI range thanks to three key features: universal battery compatibility (48V to 800V), an EPS peak power of 12 kVA for 60 seconds, and the ability to parallel up to 10 inverters to form a microgrid of up to 60 kW.
Universal battery compatibility: 48V to 800V
This is the HYD 6KTL-3PH’s most distinctive feature compared to the ESI range. Its battery voltage range of 160 to 800V makes it compatible with virtually all lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries on the market:

The charging strategy is self-adaptive to the BMS (CAN/RS485) — the inverter automatically reads the parameters of the connected battery. The nominal charge/discharge current is 25A, with a peak of 40A for 60 seconds.
12 kVA EPS power for 60 seconds
In UPS (uninterruptible power supply) mode, the HYD 6KTL-3PH can deliver 12,000 VA for 60 seconds — double its rated power. This is one of the most generous peak capacities on the market for a 6 kW three-phase inverter, allowing for trouble-free start-up:
- Three-phase heat pumps (high inrush current on start-up)
- Three-phase compressors and machine tools
- Multiple devices simultaneously during a mains power cut
- Three-phase electric vehicle chargers in backup mode
Switchover to EPS mode takes less than 10 ms — imperceptible to almost all electronic devices.

Up to 10 HYD KTL-3PH units can be connected in parallel via the EPS and AC ports, enabling the creation of a three-phase microgrid of up to 60 kW (10 × 6 kW). This architecture is ideal for:
- Large properties or farms with high three-phase consumption
- Small and medium-sized enterprises requiring total power continuity
- Off-grid microgrid installations
- Projects requiring a gradual increase in capacity without replacing equipment
What this inverter actually does
- It converts solar energy into 230/400V AC three-phase electricity with a maximum efficiency of 98% and MPPT efficiency of 99.9%
- It stores surplus energy in the connected battery (48V to 800V) for use in the evening or during a grid outage
- It automatically switches to EPS mode in the event of a grid outage in <10 ms, with a peak power of 12 kVA for 60 seconds
- It feeds surplus energy back into the three-phase grid if your contract allows it

Installation
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Key points:
- Three-phase 230/400V mains supply required
- 4-pole main circuit breaker (minimum 16A per phase)
- Battery cabling rated for 25A nominal / 40A peak
- Operates without a battery immediately upon installation
