Morningstar's TriStar MPPT solar regulator is an advanced MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) battery charger for off-grid photovoltaic (PV) systems up to 3 kW.
The controller offers the highest peak performance in the industry, at 99%, and a lower power loss than other MPPT controllers.
The TriStar MPPT has an intelligent tracking algorithm that maximizes the energy harvest of PV by quickly finding the peak power point of the solar panel.
Includes embedded Ethernet for a fully web interface and up to 200 days of data recording

Solar panels and chargers


"Photovoltaic" solar panels use the sun's energy to generate electricity and can be used in a variety of applications, from calculators to homes. They are the most efficient, versatile and economical in many commercial and leisure applications to charge 12/24V batteries.
Solar panels provide battery power in remote and off-grid locations and are widely used in critical telecommunications and telemetry applications. Solar panels allow the rapid installation of equipment on remote, temporary or permanent sites, thus avoiding the costs and inconveniences of connecting to the grid. They are designed for very low maintenance and durability.

Solar installation

Solar panels are usually installed at an angle of 55-65 degrees for optimal performance in winter. For year-round power supply, solar panels can be combined with wind chargers.
Solar panels can be connected in parallel to increase power and in series to increase voltage.
To complete the deep discharge battery system, a voltage regulator and electrical cables are required to start and operate. A range of practical assembly kits is available for post or wall assembly.
